South of Scotland Enterprise are holding an in person Hydrogen Brokerage Event and Workshop on Tuesday 10th October, run in partnership with the Scottish Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association. The focus will be on how we collectively can drive the hydrogen economy forward for the benefit of the South of Scotland and develop the two regional hydrogen hubs designated by the Scottish Government in the Hydrogen Action Plan.

The main themes for this workshop will include:

• the opportunities and challenges in green hydrogen production and product development;

• consideration of water as a critical feedstock;

• industrial decarbonisation and supply chain opportunities; and

• the role for hydrogen in delivering the challenge of the transition of our transport systems.

A key objective for the day will be to share knowledge. However, crucially, we also want to bring together hydrogen producers, off-takers, supply chain representatives and commercial investors with those in SOSE, local authorities and wider public agencies through providing opportunities for networking throughout the day. It is essential we foster collaboration and partnership working.

Expected guests include project developers, supply chain innovators and manufacturers and end users of hydrogen across the region. To achieve the energy transition and successfully exploit the economic opportunity that two hydrogen hubs offer our region, we need to work together and this event offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of making it happen.
