This webinar on Hydrogen Bridges across the North Sea Region explores how North Sea Ports will act as hydrogen bridges. Through their proximity to renewable energy and potential in the production, storage and transportation of hydrogen, ports will fulfil a key role in the energy transition to hydrogen across the North Sea Region. This ‘Hydrogen Bridges across the North Sea Region’ webinar will also explore the need to export and import green hydrogen across the Region.
The webinar begins with an overview from Nigel Holmes (SHFCA) and Jon Jordan (NS HyMaP) who will outline the importance of North Sea ports in the creation of regional hydrogen economies.
Jan Egbertsen, from the Port of Amsterdam will outline the work and future plans for the growth of hydrogen in the port and the wider Amsterdam Region.
Joanne Allday from the Port of Cromarty Firth will outline their Master Plan for the port and the hydrogen projects that have been developed in the North of Scotland Hydrogen Programme. She will also look at plans to produce green hydrogen, the identification of new end-users and export markets.
CMB TECH has recently opened a multi-modal refuelling station in the Port of Antwerp which includes the refuelling of maritime vessels at the port. Paul Turner will present this key project and also talk about other important projects in the maritime sector delivered by CMB TECH.
