Nominations Open for 2022 Stewart Dow Award

Nominations for the 2022 Stewart Dow Memorial Award are open, and the deadline for submissions is midnight on Saturday 10th September. This is your opportunity to put forward nominations for an individual or group who has either developed practical solutions or an innovative product, has been successful in commercialising fuel cells in new applications, or has brought people together in a collaborative way.  Self-nominations are also welcome.

Stewart Dow was a champion for innovation across the hydrogen and fuel cell sector, but tragically contracted COVID-19 and passed away in April 2020. Stewart spent many years working at BOC and supporting early start-ups to become well-known and successful organisations whilst driving the commercialisation of hydrogen fuel cells.

Stewart’s colleagues and friends in the hydrogen industry, together with his family, have established this annual award in his memory. The Stewart Dow Memorial Award is presented to recognise and encourage similar passion and enthusiasm for the development and deployment of hydrogen and fuel cells. The Stewart Dow Memorial Award is supported jointly by the UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (UKHFCA) and Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (SHFCA)

The presentation of the 2022 Stewart Dow Award will take place on Thursday 20th October 2022 during the SHFCA2022 Annual Conference at the prestigious McEwan Hall in Edinburgh.
