JTI launched - Council adopts Commission Regulation proposal |

Brussels, May 30: The Joint Undertaking on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells was officially established today during a Council meeting of National Member States
FuelCellEurope welcomes the establishment of the JTI as it marks an important step for the European fuel cell and hydrogen industry and concludes a 2 year long decision process.
We believe that such a stable and predictable political framework established for the next 6 years will help accelerate development and market deployment for these technologies and will help prevent investments fleeing to other parts of the world.
In such respect and despite remaining skepticism re some elements of this initiative, FuelCellEurope will aim to cooperate in the most constructive and positive way possible with the FCH-JTI in order to ensure its successful implementation. We believe we have a key role to play and see sectoral industry associations such as ours, as essential for the success and continuity of the JTI to speak with an independent voice and to foster participation of SMEs.
As a first cooperation sign, we are organizing a Fuel Cell CEO & Investors Roundtable in Cooperation with JTI on 13 October, a day before the official celebration of the launch. |
