Hydrogen Futures Report
The Hydrogen Futures report (HyFuture), an independent report commissioned by SHFCA, looking to the energy landscape in Scotland in 2050 and the role of hydrogen in that landscape, has now been submitted to the Association and will be put into the public domain on 21st May 2008 at All-Energy. This will be followed by an open invitation stakeholder’s workshop in June to discuss the findings in a constructive manner. Following the stakeholder’s workshop the report will be submitted to the Scottish Government. The report is the first step towards developing Scotland’s Hydrogen Highway.
All Energy
The Association will for the first time have a hydrogen and fuel cell pavilion at All Energy and in total we will have 14 members of the Association exhibiting in the H208 area. We will also have HFC transport exhibits. Association Members have organised four hydrogen / fuel cell conference sessions, two of them focussing on developments in Scotland and two on the wider and international community. All Energy is the highlight of the Association’s event calendar.
The Association is going through another rapid burst of growth and now comprises 55 member organisations and we expect to reach the 100 target by this time next year. Click here to download the SHFCA Membership Capability Guide 2008
Moves are afoot in Scotland to see large scale stationary fuel cell applications being built in a number of locations around the Central Belt. Other work getting underway is a hydrogen and fuel cell sustainable transportation initiative for Scotland, looking at public transport, light commercial vehicles and leisure vehicles (including an aspiration for the first hydrogen powered sports car to be built in Scotland!) |
