Posted by Tom Read on Feb 12, 2010
The Technology Strategy Board has launched the 4th competition of its Integrated Delivery Programme with up to £19m available to invest in innovative, industry-led collaborative research, development and demonstration in the field of low and ultra low carbon vehicles.
This competition is being funded together with the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) to strengthen UK capability and develop the UK’s supply networks for vehicle-centric technologies delivering major improvements in carbon dioxide emissions. This is an area in which the UK has the opportunity to build on its existing capabilities, to establish a global competitive advantage with associated economic benefits.
The competition expects to invest in three to six projects, with applications welcomed from any type of industry-led consortium. Strong participation from vehicle manufacturers (VMs) and/or tier 1 suppliers is expected. There is a briefing day for participants on 16 February 2010 in London.
