TUV NEL Ltd

Part of the TUV SUD Group, TUV NEL is a technology services organisation providing consultancy, testing, research and development, knowledge transfer and programme management services to an international client base. With a track record in technology development spanning 50 years, TUV NEL maintains an extensive network of clients across the industrial spectrum.

TUV NEL's current business focus is on energy and environmental issues which covers both the oil and gas sector, renewable energy developments and sustainable transport. TUV NEL is the custodian of the UK national standards for flow measurement and has particular strengths in metrology.

Recent work in hydrogen and fuel cells has covered gas flow and temperature distribution in fuel cell stacks and development of fuel cell hybrid vehicles.

TUV NEL is currently a partner in the DIUS National Measurement System Measurement for Innovators initiative which provides funding for addressing measurement issues in industry. A number of projects in hydrogen and fuel cell technology have already been funded through this scheme and budget is available for further work with industrial collaborators.
