Intelligent Energy

Intelligent Energy is a clean fuel and power systems company. Formed in 2001, but drawing on fuel cell and hydrogen production expertise of almost twenty years, we have sites in Loughborough (UK headquarters), Long Beach and Albuquerque (US), an office in London and representation in South Africa and Japan.

We are a business-to-business company aiming to accelerate and de-risk our customers‟ commercialisation plans. We work in multiple partnerships utilising our partner‟s routes to market and volume manufacturing.

We concentrate on the delivery of cleaner, class leading market focused PEM fuel cell power, fuel desulphurisation and hydrogen generation systems to our four target market sectors; transportation, distributed generation and portable power, aerospace & defence and oil & gas.

We develop systems tailored for our partners needs, working with them from early in the design process and embedding our technology platforms into their products.

Business relationships that lie in the public domain include a joint venture to develop residential scale PEM fuel cell CHP with Scottish and Southern Energy, IE CHP (UK&Eire) Ltd and partnerships with The Suzuki Motor Corporation, Boeing and PSA Peugeot Citroën.
